The Ambersweet orange is a relatively new variety, having been developed in Orlando in 1989. Ambersweet oranges are almost as large as naval oranges, have good juice color, are fairly easily to peel and are good to eat and juice. They have few seeds and plenty of juice. The slightly pear-like overall shape of the Ambersweet orange makes it somewhat unique.
The Ambersweet orange is available between October through December and in some years even into January. Please contact Orange World customer service to check on the availability of Ambersweet oranges.
